Congratulations on completing your PRK procedure! Proper post-operative care is crucial for achieving the best possible outcome and ensuring a smooth recovery. Here are some important instructions to follow for the next several weeks:

1. Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes for the first few days after the procedure.

2. Use prescribed eye drops as directed to help prevent infection and reduce inflammation as instructed by your doctor.

3. Light sensitivity, eyelid swelling and pain is expected for 3-4 days after the procedure. The prescribed medications includes a pain killer tablet.

4. Wear protective eyewear, such as sunglasses or goggles, especially when outside or in dusty environments for at least one week.

5. Avoid head bath, shower, washing your eyes or swimming for at least a week after the procedure.

6. Do not drive for the first few days after the procedure until your vision has stabilized and you are no longer experiencing any significant discomfort, blurring of vision or glare.

7. Keep your follow-up appointments with your surgeon to monitor your progress and ensure that you're healing properly.

8. It's normal to experience some discomfort, dryness, or blurry vision in the first few days after the procedure. This should gradually improve as your eyes heal. If you experience severe pain, sudden changes in vision, or other concerning symptoms, contact your surgeon immediately.

Remember, proper post-operative care is essential for a successful PRK procedure. Follow these instructions carefully and don't hesitate to reach out to your surgeon if you have any questions or concerns. Good luck with your recovery!
